I began taking photographs while in college many years ago, but never really took the art seriously.  About five years ago, after hundreds of youth sports photos and holiday and event photos, I became interested in the artistic aspect of photography again.  I now exhibit in art galleries in Birmingham, Alabama and also exhibit in local art shows. As you will see in each ‘gallery,’ I really enjoy revealing the incredible color, the simplicity and the detail, and the beauty that exists in nature My Shades Creek Studio is located on Little Shades Creek in Birmingham, Alabama. I personally custom print all of my photographs to ensure a high quality representation of each subject, whether it is a desert waterfall or a simple dogwood flower. .   Nobody sees a flower, really. It is so small.  We haven't time, and to see takes time.
